You can use FAST Mode for competition hunts and places with a lot of trash. THIN COINS MODE: This mode finds small, less conductive coins like thin gold and silver coins that have been crushed.
The Vortex has a lot of features and a fast, set Recovery Speed on targets that are close by. Up to 16 feet (5 metres) of watertightness. With both single and multi-frequency choices. Five sound tones.

Frequency Options
Choose from five powerful single frequencies (5 kHz, 9 kHz, 13 kHz, 18 kHz, or 25 kHz) or search with one of two Vortex simultaneous Multi-Frequency options (the traditional Multi or Multi-Frequency Salt for saltwater beach use).
